Qualifications and Criteria

Personal Income

  • Personal income of at least USD 80,000 per year in the past two years
  • In case of personal income below USD 80,000 per year but no less than USD 40,000 per year in the past two years, applicants must have a master’s degree or above or own intellectual property or receive Series A funding

Current Employer

  • Public company on a stock exchange or private company in operation for at least three years with a combined revenue of at least USD 150 million in the last three years

Experience

  • At least 5 years of work experience in the past 10 years

Health Insurance

  • Health insurance with at least USD 50,000 coverage or social security benefits insuring treatment in Thailand or at least USD 100,000 deposit

FAQs

If I work for a company, which is a subsidiary/cost center of major international corporations (the company that employs me does not meet all the qualifications required by BOI but my mother company does), will I be eligible to apply for LTR Visa?

In most cases, no. The legal entity that employs you must also meet BOI’s requirements. To discuss the specifics of your situation, please send us a message.

Can Work-From-Thailand Professionals hold a Thai work permit?

No. This category of LTR Visa allow you to work remotely from Thailand only. Work-From-Thailand Professionals must not engage in any “working activities” that required a work permit according to Thai Labor Department.
